Looking for the perfect pre-TTC warm-up or post-TTC wind-down? Discover why yoga students choose Aavya in Upper Tapovan—every single month.
The rhythm never changes. As one month ends and another begins, clusters of tired but smiling TTC students shuffle up the hill, mats slung over shoulders, still humming the day’s chants. Their teacher-training courses at Vinyasa Yoga School, Arohi Yoga, Rishikesh TTC, Nirvana Yoga Centre and the other Tapovan academies have either just finished or are about to start, and they’re hunting for a breather that doesn’t feel like another lesson. They very often end up at Aavya.
Here, nobody insists on six classes a day. Some mornings involve nothing more than a slow Yin session on the terrace; some evenings drift into a magical sound healing session, gentle dance, or a playful turn at the pottery wheel. Many guests simply curl up in the café with a lime-mint cooler, watch the clouds roll past the ridge, and let their notebooks stay tightly shut.
Sore shoulders and over-worked hips get the softest treatment in our signature massages—unhurried, thoughtful, and designed to calm rather than challenge. After an hour on the table, trainees usually tumble into conversation with new friends from other schools, swapping anatomy tips and philosophy jokes while the sun sinks behind the trees and the forest behind them.
Most plan on “just one night.” They stay three or four. The view from a terrace room at dawn, the slow breakfasts, the easy laughter under fairy-lit branches—these small mercies stretch time in the sweetest way. By the time they descend to begin—or resume—their 200- or 300-hour marathon, they carry less tension, more joy, and a quiet promise to climb the hill again at next month’s pause.
Need a break from the timetable? Aavya is a ten-minute walk from your classroom and a whole world away in vibe. Book a bed, book a massage, or just book an afternoon of doing absolutely nothing. We’ll keep you away from a time table and enjoy and chill simply at your own pace
