Why It's Designed This Way
This retreat is deliberately the least active one we offer. Burnout doesn't respond to more stimulation — it responds to consistent, low-intensity rest over several days, which is why it's the longest retreat on the list. Monsoon naturally supports this: cooler temperatures, lower foot traffic on the property, and the general slowness that rain imposes on everything all work in favor of genuine rest rather than against it. Mornings are built around yin yoga and Yoga Nidra rather than dynamic movement, since the goal is parasympathetic activation, not exertion. Fire & Ice is included, but only twice across the five nights, spaced out — and during monsoon the heat-to-rain-cooled-air contrast adds to the effect without needing extra intensity. Ayurvedic spa appears twice for tension release without added stimulation. Pottery is included once, late in the stay, as a grounding, low-pressure creative outlet — the rain outside the studio window doing a lot of the calming work on its own.
