    The Circuit

    Two hours. One circuit.

    Four zones, in sequence.

Every evening session follows the same arc — opening, heat, cool, cold — and lands differently every time.

    STEP 01 · 20–25 MIN

    Movement & Breathwork

The session opens in the outdoor movement ground. Light movement — stretching, body-weight work, a rhythm of breath — warms the body and settles the mind before the heat begins. You arrive in the sauna already open.

    STEP 02 · 15–20 MIN

    The Sauna

The round deodar sauna at 75–90°C. Basalt stones. One or two rounds depending on the session. Heat moves through you slowly. The intention here is not to endure — it is to let go.

    STEP 03 · 3–5 MIN

    The Ice Bath

10–14°C. Deodar barrel, copper handles. Cold enough to matter. Most people describe what happens after the ice bath the same way: quieter. More themselves. This is the sharpest moment in the circuit — and often the most memorable one.

    STEP 04 · 15–20 MIN

    The Cool Soak

Natural Tapovan water at 20–24°C. River pebble underfoot, Himalayan stone surround, open sky. After the ice bath, the body finds its breath here — not hot, not cold, just still. This is where the circuit settles. Most people stay longer than they expect to.

    5:00 PM DAILY · FROM 30 MAY 2026

Evening is the best time for contrast therapy. The body temperature is naturally higher in the late afternoon, making the contrast sharper. And the cold immersion in the early evening — not too close to sleep — drops core temperature in a way that makes most people sleep deeply. Tapovan at 5 PM, in the forest, is also simply beautiful.

    What it does

    The short version
    of why this works.

    Circulation

Heat dilates, cold contracts. The cycling moves blood and lymph far more efficiently than rest. Inflammation clears.

    Mood & energy

Cold immersion releases norepinephrine — up to 300% above baseline. The effect lasts for hours. Not manufactured. Not chemical.

    Sleep

Cold plunging drops core temperature — one of the body's most powerful natural sleep signals. Most people sleep better the night of a session.

    Nervous system

Repeated contrast cycling trains the autonomic nervous system. The baseline shifts. You become harder to rattle.

    Questions

    Things people usually ask.

What exactly is the Fire and Ice Circuit?

A two-hour guided contrast therapy and movement session at Aavya Rise, Upper Tapovan. It runs every evening at 5 PM and moves through four zones: outdoor movement and breathwork, the round deodar sauna, the cool soak pool, and the ice baths. It is the first dedicated contrast therapy circuit in Rishikesh.

Do I need experience with saunas or cold water?

No. The session is guided. Every step is explained. You go at your own pace. There is no pressure to stay in the cold longer than feels right. Most people who have never done contrast therapy before are surprised by how manageable — and how good — it feels.

What does it cost? And how does the early bird work?

The regular walk-in price is ₹2,500 per session. The first 50 people to register get every session at ₹1,500 — locked in permanently. This is a quantity limit, not a time limit. Once 50 people have registered, the offer closes. WhatsApp or email us to secure your spot.

    Who is it for?

Anyone in reasonable health who wants to feel better, sleep better, and recover faster. Contrast therapy is used by elite athletes, yoga practitioners, people with high-stress work, and people who simply want a regular practice that is both physical and restorative. It is not extreme. It is not a fitness challenge. It is a protocol the body responds to reliably.

    Why 5 PM?

Evening is the best time for this practice. The body temperature is naturally higher in the late afternoon, making the contrast sharper and the heat more effective. Cold immersion in the early evening — not too close to sleep — drops core temperature in a way that deepens sleep significantly. And practically: Tapovan at 5 PM, in the forest, with the light through the trees, is the best version of this place.

    How often should I come?

Once or twice a week — you notice improved sleep and mood within two weeks. Three to four times a week — cardiovascular adaptations begin, energy becomes more consistent, the nervous system baseline shifts. Daily — the Finnish model. The longevity data is strongest here. Sessions can be shorter at this frequency; the body adapts.

What if the opening is delayed?

We are targeting 30 May 2026. We say "targeting" deliberately — construction runs on its own schedule, and we prefer to open ready rather than rush. If we are delayed, everyone who has registered will be informed immediately with the new date. You are entitled to a full refund if the new date does not work for you, or to carry your registration forward to whenever we open. We will not keep anyone's money for something that has not happened.

Can I come just for the circuit, without staying at Aavya?

Yes. The evening circuit sessions are open to all — guests and day visitors. If you are staying at Aavya in any room or pod, the circuit is included in your stay at no extra charge. Day guests pay the session rate (₹2,500, or ₹1,500 for early bird registrations).

    Is there a membership option?

Yes — and we're working on making it as simple and as good as possible. We haven't announced the packages yet because we want to get them right before we do. If you're interested in being a regular here, just send us a WhatsApp. Once the membership options are ready, you'll be among the first to know — and we'll make it as easy as we can for you to be part of something we are genuinely very excited about.
